Ashin Shah '12 | Co-President

Ashin is a Junior in Pforzheimer House concentrating in Applied Mathematics and Economics. Originally from Waldorf, MD, Ashin is also a part of The Harvard Crimson, Harvard Political Review, the South Asian Men's Collective, and a Bureau of Study Counsel tutor, and involved elsewhere in the South Asian community on campus. He is interested in corporate law, politics, economic development, working with immigrant communities, and spent last summer in India doing research at IIM-A.

Punit is a Junior in Mather House concentrating in Social Studies with a secondary in Computer Science. He proudly hails from Albuquerque, NM, which he claims is indeed part of the United States. He is a TF for CS50 and is also involved with The Institute of Politics, The Harvard Crimson, The Harvard College in Asia Program, among other activities. He loves SAA first and foremost because he loves the people that make SAA such a diverse, amazing community.

Thejal Srikumar is a sophomore living in Mather House. She plans to concentrate in Molecular and Cellular Biology with a secondary in Music. Thejal is from Tampa, FL and is interested in violin and neurobiology in addition to SAA.

Stuti is a sophomore in Currier House and is originally from San Jose, California. She plans on concentrating in Economics at Harvard. Other than Economics,she is interested in law, marketing, and business and hopes to pursue these interests in graduate school. In her free time, she loves to dance and hang out with her friends!

Riya is a junior in Pforzheimer House originally from Harrison, NY. She is pre-med and concentrating in Human Evolutionary Biology. In her spare time, Riya enjoys playing tennis, cooking and listening to music. She has thoroughly enjoyed her past two years on board and is looking forward to another great year.

A born and raised New Yorker, Liya is a sophomorere currently living in Dunster House. She is planning to concentrate in Economics with a secondary concentration in History. She is planning in pursuing a career in finance or investment banking. Besides loving her Indian heritage, Liya loves singing, cooking and watching Bollywood movies. She thinks SAA is amazing because of the friends that she has made and the cool events that they have.

Vinay Trivedi is a sophomore in Leverett House from the greater Princeton, NJ and Bucks County, PA area. Vinay enjoys meeting new people, reading, hot air ballooning, keeping active with all sports, and trying new things. He is determined to run a marathon in every major city in the North East and secretly wishes he could also get his Culinary degree. Vinay is interested in economics, philosophy, engineering, and having a good time. Despite his Indian-less bringing in Princeton, NJ, Vinay has grown to love the community around SAA and encourages everyone to join and reach out with any questions, whether they are related to SAA or not!

Originally from Houston, Texas, Riju is a sophomore in Winthrop House, and he intends to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Sciences, along with a secondary in Economics. Besides South Asian music, movies, and food, Riju is interested in renewable energy, sustainable development in India, and finance/investment banking.

Sheba is a sophomore in Eliot House and calls both Cleveland, OH and Pittsburgh, PA her home (Go Steeelers!). She plans to study Neurobiology and Social Anthropology and is particularly interested in global health and leadership development. Outside of SAA, she loves to volunteer with kids, travel (or think about traveling), play piano, write, dance, design and dream big.

Rachna is a sophomore in Currier House concentrating in Economics with a secondary in Government. She is from the land of the snow, Syracuse, NY. Aside from SAA, Rachna also actively dances in the South Asian Dance Company, loves the International Relations Council, and is a consultant for the Harvard College Consulting Group, among other things.
